Using discretion and judgment, works with wholesaler to strategically manage territory; places calls and provides information about portfolio composition, relative performance and product design; and develops and maintains relationships with registered representatives to promote the sale of MFS products and the retention of MFS assets.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with wholesalers to develop marketing strategy to manage assigned territory. Prepares weekly action plan and reviews it daily to determine each day's call plan.
Develops sales leads by applying the advanced selling techniques and methods communicated in FSI Sales Training program. Runs hypothetical illustrations and organizes sales proposals for large potential accounts.
Documents and follows up on sales leads generated by the inbound call group.
Contacts registered representatives to provide detailed information about MFS products and special offerings and promotions to enhance sales.
Conducts conference calls with brokers, agents and their clients to discuss MFS products.
Maintains sales representative tracking system by updating, correcting or recording information as necessary.
Develops communication and presentation skills to travel with wholesalers and make sales presentations and conduct ad-hoc meetings as necessary.
Performs additional duties as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Minimum of one and a half years' experience at MFS (one year in a marketing position or client services), two years' related experience at another financial services firm.
Must have either an extensive knowledge of MFS products or experience with the sales of other financial products.
Strong presentation, communication, and organization skills required.
Position requires FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations in accordance with MFS's licensing policy.
