The Trading Manager;

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the trading strategy corresponding with the strategy of the business and other policies including governance. You will also be responsible identifying the best methods for managing trading risk exposure and optimising the use of risk limits. You will be responsible for all of the trading activity carried out by the team, also developing counterparty relationships and there may be some involvment in supporting the firms International Investments arm in its investments appraisals.

Required;

At least 3 years experience trading commodities, including UK Power and Gas

Proven track record of running the day to day activity of a commodity trading environment

Experience developing and execution of trading strategies

Experienced in asset optimisation, fuel procurement and hedging

The Traders

The successful candidate will undertake the day to day trading requirements of the new operation in line with the set trading strategy. This will include the execution of asset optimisation strategies, fuel procurement policies and power hedging activities. Youi will be responsible for trading Power, Gas forwards trading from day ahead to 3 years forward, asset hedging and optimisation, technical and market analysis and trading operations.

Required;

At least 1 year experience in trading including UK Power and Gas

Proven experience in a trading operational role

Solid understanding of risk managed environments

Familiarity with execution over standard traded products and contract types used in UK markets.
