A US conglomerate is seeking a General Counsel to join their growing Seoul office. The successful candidate will be required to provide legal support for all transactions in Asia, lead investigations of potential compliance escape, monitor legislative and regulatory activities, develop relationships with key government attorneys and contracts personnel, work with Compliance Department to improve processes and procedures and provide business leaders with legal advice that supports the business objectives. Applications are sought from candidates with at least 7 years of experience in either public contract negotiations or compliance investigation and prosecution. Candidates should have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing with applicable registering organizations. Excellent communication and drafting skills are essential in the role as is the ability to negotiate contracts with commercial and military customers. Fluency in written and spoken English is necessary, fluency in Korean or Japanese is desirable.
