Our client, a leading Bank in Qatar seeks a Shari’a Compliance Officer. Reporting directly to the Shari’a Supervisory Board the individual will be responsible to ensure that all transactions conducted by the Islamic Banking Branch are in accordance with Shari’a principles. The Shari’a Compliance Officer will have close coordination with the Shari’a Supervisory Board (SSB) to perform its responsibilities.
Responsibilities include: Conducting Shari’a audits on regular basis to ensure the Shari’a compliance, ensuring compliance of the issues pointed out during the audit. He/she will work closely in coordination with SSB for implementation of internal control for Shari’a compliance. Arrange meetings with SSB to obtain Fatwas. Conduct regular Shari’a training courses for staff
You will have worked in a similar capacity covering the above with a banking organization.
