Responsibilities:

• To lead the execution of M&A mandates in the UK and Europe
   
• To manage and train junior staff on deals
   
• To work with colleagues on originating & developing new investment banking business opportunities
   
• To play a leading role in an international M&A group, encouraging idea sharing and working on joint cross border mandates
   
• To be able to collaborate with colleagues in other service lines to cross sell complementary products
   
• Preferably to have an industry focus to contribute

Requirements
 

• Evidence of a track record of leading or playing a senior role in deals
   
• A desire, enthusiasm & confidence to do mid market deals for mid or large size companies
   
• Evidence of good corporate & private equity relationships & ability to sustain them
   
• Preferably some experience of working on deals for public companies or oversees companies
   
• Preferably experience of cross border & trans-Atlantic deals
   
• Experience of industry specialization through deal experience
   
• Exposure to different types of deal - plc/restructuring/distressed etc
   
• Career which includes roles in blue chip banks or accountancy firms
   
• Preference to have current UK contacts (ie for them not to be stale)
