My client is a boutique, middle market investment bank based in Boston, looking hire an M&A Associate as they expand their business.

In spite of the current market conditions, my client has maintained a strong deal pipeline and is looking to increase their transition activity going into ’09.

The Associate will be a key member of this expanding team, and s/he will be instrumental in business development and execution. The Associate will work closely with the Senior team on various transactions, and assist in developing junior staff. This is a long term career opportunity for an individual looking to build a fast track career in the middle market sector.

Associate's duties vary considerably and generally include analyzing and modeling financial statements, performing client due diligence, preparing information memoranda, developing analytical documentation supporting the deal process, and communicating with institutional investors and senior officers of acquiring companies.

Associates work closely with the senior executives of the Firm's client companies on each engagement.

My client is looking for candidates with the following skill sets.

* MBA from a top business school 

* Outstanding academic performance record 

* Prior work experience involving in M&A Investment Banking

* Excellent written and oral communication skills 

* Strong accounting and financial modeling knowledge 

* Positive attitude is essential to this firm

* Candidates must have previous M&A Banking experience.

* Please note that candidates without previous M&A transaction experience will not be considered.
