• In liaison with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be responsible for the conceptualization, construction, installation, and functioning of sound and effective budgets and financial forecasting systems, across the entire HBG Group companies, including appropriate in portfolio entities. • In liaison with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will assume primary responsibility for the conceptualization, creation, and embedding of Compliance best practice, protocols, systems, and reporting procedures and for proactively ensuring ongoing Compliant behaviour at all times, across all of the HBG Group companies, including relevant Portfolio entities, both in the area of Financial and non Financial activities and accountabilities. • Ensuring that procedures are established and followed adequately to provide reasonable accounting control over assets, liabilities, income and expenses. • Liaising with External Auditors, arranging, preparing and acting as the Central Point of Contact for relationships with auditors and with portfolio entities. • Provide guidance, motivation and leadership in the above areas to all relevant staff.
Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Must be CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with 10 years+ of hands-on preferred accounting experience with a major investment bank, private equity and/or asset management firm. Computer Savvy -- proficient knowledge of Excel, problem solving and analytical skills required. spreadsheet proficient (hardware and software) such as spreadsheet package (Excel, Quattro or Lotus).
