ASB has a strong culture of customer service, teamwork, and excellence. We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our ASB Group Tax team, based at the ASB Bank Centre, where you will assist with managing the tax function for primarily the Banking Group, as well as the wider ASB Group.   As a member of the ASB Group Tax team, you will enjoy the support of one of the country’s biggest and best in-house teams.

With 2 direct reports, you will provide strong leadership in managing the tax compliance obligations for the ASB Banking Group. You will have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of tasks and play a role in project work.  This will be a challenging and interesting role, so enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.

In order to be successful in this role you will have between 4-7 years tax experience, strong technical skills, knowledge of current and proposed tax legislation, and have a genuine interest to develop your skill set within a financial services environment.

Previous experience within the financial services industry is an advantage, but not a requirement for the role.  Strong leadership skills, highly developed communication skills, and intellectual horsepower are a must.  CA qualifications are preferred, but not essential.
