ASB has a strong culture of customer service, teamwork, and excellence. We are looking for a Tax Consultant to join our ASB Group Tax team, based at the ASB Bank Centre, where you will primarily assist with all aspects of tax work for the Banking Group, as well as the wider ASB Group.

Reporting to the Tax Manager, Banking, you will be involved in a wide range of tax return work and associated computations, and will use your skills and knowledge to research technical issues for key stakeholders for a number of business units.

Build a satisfying and challenging tax career, with unique exposure to banking, insurance, and managed fund sectors of the business.  Although you will be based at the ASB Bank Centre, you will be part of the ASB Group Tax team where there will be cross over and exposure to the wider ASB Group!

To be successful you will need to be able to demonstrate sound written and verbal communication skills as you’ll be liaising with a range of staff across our business units.  You must have a keen eye for detail and can be counted on to achieve goals successfully. A relevant tertiary qualification is also essential, and as an ATO we will be happy to support further study.  It is preferred that you have between 2-5 years of tax experience within a similar in house function or professional services firm, but we will also consider individuals with a strong accounting or legal background wanting to transition to a career in tax.
