Responsibilities:

This role is with the USRTC - SG team and will be split between Team Lead with strong technical skills and Developer Tasks.

Primary role is to manage developers and lead new development, enhancements and support for existing applications primarily:

- .Net (C#), ASP .Net (IIS),Webservices / XML and Oracle 10g .

He or she must also adhere to established standards and procedures in the firm.

Tasks likely to include:

  • 7 -10 years of technical experience
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Ability to lead and manage the offshore team that supports US clients
  • In-depth experience/ understanding of .Net, ASP.NET and Oracle 10g
  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis, design and implementation of Medium to large projects , particularly in areas of .Net, ASP.NET & Oracle 10 g and Database modelling
  • Manage the full life cycle of projects
  • Good Project Management skills
  • Good Technical Writing skills
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Manage project scope and ensures adherence to the project plan
  • Monitor and track milestones of all phases of the project
  • To manage project changes requests
  • Resolve conflicts amicably and create a positive working team environment
  • Ability to take ownership of issues and follow to resolution is important
  • Ability to perform shift duties (3 - 11pm).
  • Skills

    Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent.
  • N-Tier architecture experience
  • 7 -10 years of general IT experience.
  • 4-5 years Web development

    .Net Experience:

  • At least 3 years Microsoft .Net Experience - exception handling, delegates, user controls, collection classes, diagnostics, debugging/ tracing, session state management in web farms and web application configuration.
  • At least 3 years using ASP.NET
  • Experience in C#
  • Experience in VB.NET is advantageous
  • Good XML/XSLT knowledge desirable
  • Good understanding of Object Oriented Analysis Design/Programming
  • Appreciation of the software development lifecycle
  • Good Understanding of patterns and their applications.
  • •Ability to understand and extend/enhance code written by other developers
  • Must have delivered at least 3 major production level web applications.
  • Database (Oracle) Experience

    :
  • 3 years database experience - Oracle .
  • Solid understanding of Oracle concepts and PL/SQL
  • - functions, stored procedures, returning records from stored procedure, exception handing, explicit vs. implicit cursors, packages, control structures, transaction handling; materialized views;
  • - using EXPLAIN PLAN; DECODE and CASE statements, data types in Oracle, data type conversion functions, date arithmetic in Oracle, purpose of DUAL stable, sequences; tablespaces; security
  • Project Management & Team Lead Experience:

  • At least 2 - 3 years of experience in IT Project Management.
  • Good knowledge of best practices in Project Management
  • Experience in large/medium-sized projects.
  • Proven track record of delivery
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Should have good oral and written skills, importantly documentation skills
  • Desirable Skillsets:

  • 4 or more years of Financial Industry Experience
  • Understanding of how SOX impacts application design.
  • Understanding of Oracle Business Intelligence
  • Using patterns in real life projects.
  • Experience with web services and remoting.
  • Understanding of Oracle Business Intelligence
