Key Accountabilities
Design and develop applications that provide and support automated trading services, for various business lines and products in Asian equity and derivatives markets
Comprehend quantitative frameworks and apply the models to trading activities, working closely with internal and external clients
Work closely with global teams in delivering applications and deliverables of high quality
Provide on-going application support for these applications.
Skills
Background & Education
Minimum of a bachelor degree required, preferably in Computer science, Mathematics, Finance or Technology; an advanced graduate degree would be an advantage
Strong technical development skills in Windows platforms. (Mandatory). Unix skills desirable
Proven development experience with C# .NET, C++, SQL (Sybase/Oracle/SQL Server) Development expertise in C++/Java can definitely be considered
Experience and expertise in multi threading, event handling, high volume trading, price feeds expected
Strong sound concepts in object oriented design
Strong analytical skills
Good understanding of trading strategies and equities trading
Good understanding of Asian Equity markets highly desirable
Proficient knowledge of databases, networks and servers.
Very good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Must be a team player that is able to work with people across different departments (business/external clients and IT), countries and regions.
A drive to get things done (ensuring a high level of quality).
Has a genuine interest in trading/auto-trading systems
Must have previously worked in a trading environment and able to work under pressure
Familiar with trading environments/systems and the trading business
Will be required to work closely with the business to understand their trading ideas and map them into the system.
Fluent English is essential, fluency in an Asian language a plus.
Willing to consider outstanding developers in non equities and non financial domains with demonstrable track record in architecting and developing/coding realtime systems and event driven architectures of reasonable scale and scope.
